Goodbye Weekend - Rose

Work has been so hectic the last couple of weeks. Most nights I have been finishing late and have been getting home close to dark so I feel like I haven't seen the sun. I'm probably turning a sickly shade of pale due to lack of vitamin D - Not a good look for most. Its been lovely to have some down time on the weekends and not have to think about work for a while, of course Monday always comes back around before you know it.

Zoe Foster - Stella

On Friday night, I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of attending Zoe Foster's book launch. The Wrong Girl is Zoe's new book and she has currently been doing a series of cocktail events around Australia to promote the it.

I am a serious Zoe Foster fan. When I found out about this event I HAD to attend. Tickets came out one morning when my boyfriend and I were driving across from Perth to Sydney. We were in the middle of nowhere and I was starting to stress out about my lack of reception and how I was going to buy my tickets. Thankfully, we drove through a tiny little town and I got some reception so I made my boyfriend pull over and we sat on the side of the road purchasing these tickets before we continued on. Well worth it. 

The event was fantastic and meeting Zoe Foster was incredible. She is so beautiful, funny and such inspiring woman. Zoe was interviewed, then she signed a copy of everyones books and met each and every one of us. It was a memorable night and I'm so glad I got to attend.

Sunshine & Study - Stella

This summer break from uni has been absolute bliss. I have never made the most of my holidays as much as I have during this one. I find myself spending long days out in the sunshine, catching up with friends, relaxing and just keeping myself busy with all sorts of different projects and hobbies. 

I have however, just finished two weeks of summer school at uni. It was a good chance to get a bit ahead and knock off a unit in two weeks. It gave me a chance to really focus on that one unit and put a lot of work into it. It was quite hard to get myself back into the studying mindset, but I am so glad I did it. Now I can spend a few more weeks enjoying myself before I go back to uni full time at the end of February.

Accessorising - Rose

I just wanted to quickly share this adorable play-suit with you guys, I have already been living in it so much lately due to the humid Perth weather. When I saw it I couldn't resist the purchase, plus the lace detail around the bottom is too cute to walk away from. 

Lately I've been adding lots of accessories to my outfits, Rings, hats and flower crowns are some of my favorites at the moment. I never used to be a huge jewellery wearer, mainly because I hadn't come across any that I really loved or suited my style. Slowly my collection is growing with a range of treasures that I adore, I have also been spending my spare time getting creative and making my own pieces over the last few weeks. Its so fun to come up with new ideas and make something of my very own. Short Story - Rose

I am really into shorts for this summer, the colours and prints that I have seen around lately are amazing. Usually I struggle to find the perfect pair because I am quite fussy about the cut, I much prefer a higher waist and find them so flattering on almost every body shape. 

This season I have come across so many that have such a great fit. The ones below are just one pair of many that have been added to my wardrobe in preparation of the warmer months. I spotted them on a brief shopping trip after work and couldn't resist the plaid print and tie up waist, they work perfectly paired with this plain tee and statement necklace.
